Title: Rookie
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Characters: Elena, Reno, Rude, Yuffie, Don Corneo
Rating: T
Summary: Elena had often thought she would regret joining the Turks.
Warning: This fic covers the optional Wutai sidequest and thus includes Don Corneo's dialogue during the scene. It's pretty squicky, given the nature of Don Corneo's crimes. While there is no depiction of rape, graphic or otherwise, there is a vague mention of how he operates. If this is potentially triggering to you, please proceed with caution.
Notes: Rude is my favourite character in the Compilation. So of course my first fanfic is about Elena, because she is tiny, cute, and deadly.

This is kind of an expansion on the Wutai Sidequest because as much as I love the TurkALANCHE teamup, it really really bugged me that someone like Don Corneo could get his hands on a ninja who is also a party member as well as someone who is essentially black ops, rookie or not. So this partly addresses the why of that while still keeping the ladies badass.

Also, bonus points to anyone who can spot the Firefly line.

I'm bored and my computer is defragging, so in the meantime here is a music meme!

I have put my iPod on "Shuffle" and will note down the first few lines of the first thirty songs that play, skipping only instrumentals, mashups, and repeats.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to guess the title and artist of the song. In the case of TV/Broadway/Movie soundtracks, I will accept the title of the show in place of the artist.

At the start of the thousandth Summer Sun Celebration, four stars released Nightmare Moon from her lunar prison, then vanished from the night sky. Only Princess Celestia and Princess Luna know the truth -- these four stars are the Starponies, unicorns created by Nightmare Moon as servants and guards.

Meanwhile, in Ponyville, a new family has moved into town. The elder is a historian specialising in separating truth from legend, with an emphasis on the royal pony sisters. To fund his research and to look after his twin siblings, he hires on at Apple Acres just in time to help out with the planting.

For this meme we are introducing three OCs:

Polaris, a dark blue unicorn with three white stars for his cutie mark. While his special talent is astronomy, he has a vested interest in ancient history and studies it frequently.

Notturna, a brown earth filly with a blue heart made from a bass clef and treble clef for her cutie mark. Her special talent is singing, though she also picks locks for a hobby.

Vector, a brown earth colt with sigma (Σ) notation for his cutie mark. His special talent is math, but he is nearly as obsessively organised as one Twilight Sparkle.

We are also introducing the four Starponies, whose personalities I am working on. They are Andromeda, Starsmoke, Morningstar, and Lode Star.

The Rules

1. You may have up to three prompts.
2. You may not "save" slots for later.
3. No ponyshipping. I'm not against it, but there are some places I want to go narratively so for now, no ships.
4. No tyrant Celestia, no Molestia.
5. There is a controversial grey, blonde-maned pony. She will not be called by the most popular fan nickname or you will be banned.
6. Please try to keep it PG. I want to be serious but I don't want to be grimdark.

ATLA Land is an interactive online community with challenges and friendly competitions. There are four teams for each of the four nations: Fire Nation, Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, and Air Nomads. Each season we will have special challenges for the Spring Equinox (Earth), Summer Solstice (Fire), Autumnal Equinox (Air) and the Winter Solstice (Water), among other special themes. Each team will compete for points in order to try and stay ahead of the other teams.

Points are earned when you complete challenges. Some challenges will be larger than others--such as fanfiction challenges with prompts or fanart/graphics challenges. These, obviously, will be worth more points than smaller challenges.

Speaking of smaller challenges, not everything is going to be as time-consuming as fanfiction and graphics. Other challenges will be more like games, such as crossword puzzles and trivia. These will be worth less points, but will most likely be more common and frequent than the larger challenges.

Membership is restricted. In order to join you need to fill out an application here after reading the rules, and then wait to be put on a team. Once one of our moderators has placed you in your spot you will be given an invitation to both the main community and your sub-community for your team. It's up to you to request to join all the challenge communities!</info spiel>
